• Fiber Distribution Terminal (FDT)

    March 30, 2016
AFL’s Fiber Distribution Terminal (FDT) provides a small, convenient convergence point for interconnecting between distribution riser cable and MDU drop cables. Preterminated lengths up to 750 feet of MPO connectorized riser cable is contained within the FDT and is pulled down the riser into a MPO-enabled indoor FDH, such as the AFL Interior Distribution Cabinet (IDC). This integrated reel-in-a-box technology enables rapid deployment for minimal isruption to MDU tenants. Robust steel construction ensures the highest level of protection for sensitive components while integrated roll-formed hinges eliminate possible fiber pinch points while deploying or servicing components within. The FDT features discrete access doors for provider and customer access which are independently lockable with a common pad-lock or tube-style keyed lock.
